The Interagency Working Group has released the Initial Report to the President with updates on Executive Order 14008 – “Tackling the Climate Crisis at Home and Abroad.” In the report, we find a list of prioritized communities most affected by our shift to clean energy and a thorough plan that outlines how the government will provide funding for jobs to fuel the economy and repair the environment. With over $37 billion in immediately available funding, the Working Group has a chance to make a huge impact on the lives of people in priority communities as well as our environment. One question remains – are we doing enough to fight climate change?
