Finding and incorporating healthier materials into schools is the part that most design professionals find difficult. This webinar will explore the process of working with healthier materials through three different perspectives: the manufacturer, the lab, and the specifier. Our panelists representing those perspectives are John Sumlin (Tarkett), Gretchen Withers (Oregon Door), Patty Karapinar (Architectural Nexus) and Raja Tannous (Berkeley Analytical). CHPS Impact Coordinator Natalie Van Dreal will moderate the discussion.

What you will learn

  • What defines a healthy material and what standards are available for verification.
  • A methodology for selecting healthy materials.
  • The opportunities and challenges between manufacturers, testing labs, and specifiers.
  • Inspire healthy materials manufacturing, testing, and incorporation into all school projects.
